호주·콜롬비아·아이티 선수단 100여명 참석

한과 만들기·태권도 시범·남도 한정식 시식

광주 U대회 호주 서포터즈 단장을 맡고 있는 호남대학교 경영학과 장석주 교수가 호주, 콜롬비아, 아이티 대표 선수단 100여명을 초청해 7월 11일 오후 한국 전통문화와 남도의 맛을 찾아 담양으로 떠나는 ‘팸투어’를 실시했다.
Honam University Department of Business Administration Professor Jang Seok Ju, who is the leader of the Gwangju Univerisade Australia Supporters, invited about 100 athletes from the teams of Australia, Colombia, and Haiti to accompany him on July 11 to Damyang for a ‘Fam Tour’ to explore the tastes of Namdo and Korean traditional cultures.

이날 선수단은 전라남도 담양 고서의 담양한과회사를 방문해 직접 한과를 만들어 나눠 먹는 시간을 가졌으며, 전통한옥가옥으로 꾸며진 한정식 식당 명지원을 찾아 넉넉한 남도의 인심을 담은 맛 좋은 한정식 만찬을 즐기며 떡갈비와 조기 등을 맛봤다.
They visited Damyang Hangwa Company in Goseo-myeon, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do to make and eat Hangwa by hand, and visited Korean cuisine restaurant Myeongjione, which is decorated as a traditional Korean house, where they tasted Tteokgalbi and Jogi and enjoyed other delicious Korean dishes central to Namdo culture.

선수들은 “한과를 직접 만들어 봤는데, 생각 했던 것 보다 쉬웠고, 한정식은 먹을 것이 매우 다양하고 맛도 일품”이라며 호평했다.
Athletes enthused that “Making Hangwa was easier than I thought, and Korean dishes are various and really delicious.”

특히 한국 전통의 한정식을 먹기 위해 젓가락질 사용법을 배웠으며, 어린이 태권도 시범단의 태권무와 시원한 격파를 참관하고 함께 대화하며 즐거운 시간을 보내는 한편, 한국의 전통 문화를 배우고 푸짐한 인심과 따뜻한 정을 느끼는 시간을 가졌다.
They learned how to use chopsticks to eat Korean dishes, and watched and communicated with children participating in a Takewondo demonstration. They felt the warm affection of their hosts and learned about Korean traditional culture.
